Job Description
- We are recruiting a certified Accountant with experience in managing financial activities in a company.
- The Accountant will be responsible for preparing, examining and analyzing accounting records and financial reports, track invoices, account payables and receivables in order to ensure accuracy and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of financial books in accordance with a predetermined company standard accounting procedure consistent with local and international best practices.
- Prepare monthly financial statement and provide report to the management.
- Reconciliation of accounts receivables and payables.
- Process transactions, issue checks, and update ledgers, budgets, etc.
- Supervise all data entry processes as well as manage/ monitor cash disbursement.
- Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-order, payable and receivables.
- Utilize SAGE/ ERP Evolution in managing all account information system and reporting.
- Preparation of statutory financial reports.
- Preparation, remittance and filling of tax returns to the administration (PAYE, WHT & VAT).
- Monitoring & enforcement of internal control procedures
- Assist in interfacing with external auditors & tax regulatory agencies
- Assist in interfacing with government agencies on compliance with its regulations & laws
- Any other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- B.Sc or HND in Accounting.
- Professional membership of ICAN or ACCA is a must.
- 2+ years industry experience in accounting in a highly commercial space fully conversant with GAAP / IFRS, tax laws & company procedures
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience using accounting software such as SAGE, ERP, etc.
- Must possess good reporting and analytical skills.
- Must possess strong ethical standards and high level of integrity
- Ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgment.
Compensation
NGN 150,000.00 monthly salary plus other benefits.
