Job Title: IP Paralegal (Non-Lawyer)

Job Description
- Corporate Paralegal assists lawyers in preparing and organizing various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials.
- Your main duties include preparing affidavits and correspondence, discussing case details with lawyers and clients and organizing different files for different legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Summarizing cases and preparing reports for lawyers
- Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments
- Drafting legal documents such as contracts, depositions and pleadings
- Preparing and filing documents with courts
- Drafting and delivering supporting corporate documents to be used for bids, treasury requirements, intellectual property and other company operational needs
- Overseeing the maintenance of the regional legal entity data in the database
- Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
- Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
- Provide day-to-day legal support on various Compliance topics.
- Coordinating and drafting of corporate governance matters for designated.
- Ensuring all legal entities in scope are compliant with applicable laws and internal governance standards
- Preparing and sending out correspondences to clients (email, surface mail and courier)
- Following-up at the Registry on matters relating to publication of Trademarks Journal and ancillary matters
- Operate the in-house IP management system
- Rendering such non-legal services as may be required by the team from time to time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with experience in a law firm or legal department.
- 2 – 4 years IP Paralegal Experience with accounting skill is a must.
- Solid legal expertise gained at a law firm or a multinational corporation.
- Be able demonstrate experience performing legal research, analyzing and recommending solutions to issues of legal entity governance.
- Be able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Be a Team player, proactive attitude, flexible to meet tight deadlines and able to perform well under pressure
- Display excellent written and verbal skills for communicating complex legal content to a range of audiences in English
- Show the ability to work independently in an ethical and compliant manner
